Vancouver’s Car Free Day event already happened on Sunday June 19th. Celebrations happened in Kitsilano, Main Street, the West End and on Commercial Drive, where the festivities were first started by community volunteers in 2005. At the original Drive location, street performers and musicians entertained throngs who marched, pedalled and strolled through a gauntlet of vendors’ booths and food stalls.
